Osteopaths treat aches, pains and discomfort, but we can also help with stiffness, restrictions and a lack of flexibility. Osteopathic patients include all through from children to the elderly, manual workers, office professionals, pregnant women, and sports people.
Osteopathy looks at muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, bones, joints, blood vessels, nerves and more. Osteopaths treat many medical conditions, ranging from head to toe – and whilst we’re well known for treating the spine, this is not our only focus!
Osteopaths diagnose as well as treat, and as such we are considered primary health care workers and recognised as one of 14 Allied Health Professionals, by the NHS. Osteopaths are trained to check for signs of serious conditions that are outside of our scope of practice. In these cases, we will discuss with this with you, referring you to your GP or sending you to hospital.
